RHODIUM PLATING

Introduction

Rhodium is a durable, silvery-white precious metal that has high reflectance. It has a higher melting point and lower density than platinum. Rhodium is often used as an alloying agent for hardening and improving the corrosion resistance of platinum and palladium.

Main Application / Advantages

  • Due to its attractive color and resistance to tarnishing, Rhodium can be used in jewelry and for other decorative purposes. Rhodium plating is often used in electronics and electrical parts because of its low electrical resistance, low and stable contact resistance, and high corrosion resistance.
